4th gen vs. 5th gen leather?

Went home for Thanksgiving and checked out my old man's 2000 Max. How does new leather in a 4th gen SE compare with new leather in a 5th gen GLE? I think I may need to bust out the Lexol.

i like the design of the new 5th gen leather and the quality of the leather may be a bit better
