87 Ignition Service

I need to do plugs, wires, cap and rotor on my Dad's 87 SE. Any recommendations on brand of parts? OEM (including NGK plugs) seems to be the likely choice for quality.

The job looks fairly easy, any tips on this job? Can the timing be set with the just the info underhood and timing light?

Thanks

Dont go to autozone there ar something s that you just dont buy from there. But youve got the right idea hitachi rotor and cap from advanced auto parts, wires if you can ngk if not another good premium brand, dont get bosch. Yes your timing can be set with just the info under the hood its easy. There is a nut on the front of the distributor cap that you can change and crrct timing with if it needs to be done just loosen it and turn the dist. until timing is crrctd and mark that point with a white pen marker so youll know if it has moved or anything.
