Nope, 16" alloys and the c/c package are standard now.

GXEs now start out at high $21K. No more 5spd GXE. I consider myself very lucky.

Yes, they still exist. I have one. I specifically wanted the GXE since I didn't wanna pay too much and was paying cash.

Yeah, they do seem rare (I also did see the figure somewhere else that only 5% of Maximas for 2K2 are GXEs). 16" alloy wheels come with them.

The 2 dealers I went to didn't have any GXEs. The one I finally bought from (a 3rd dealer) had to get one driven up from Portland, Oregon.

Here's my 2K2 GXE

http://www.fbody.com/members/LarryS/maxima.JPG

It has everything I wanted on a car, including 16" wheels. No expensive 17" tires for me! I paid $20979.00

Believe it or not I did actually see a 2002 GXE. Once!

Now compare that to the three brand spankin new Ford Thunderbirds that I've seen so far and that just shows how rare those 2k2 GXE's really are!

well, as demand fluctuates, you can see cars sold under invoice. I bought mine 21.2 on the road..I guess today is the best time to buy a new Maxima. A Max for 20K is a great value..but 5spd for 20K is even a better one

Welll. . . . . . then that would still be the SE exclusively b/c it has 5 +1 speeds manual, and all the autos are 4 speed
