What Kind Oil, Tips, Going to the Track...

Tonight i'll be going to the 1/4 mile track. right now i'm using 10w30 Mobil, Should I be using 5w30 or 10w40??? What would be the best for running the crap out of my car?? And Also any tips for the track tonight... I Have Y-pipe and intake

I'd say you're fine, unless you want to use Redline or Amsoil. Don't use the 5W-30 because it'll be kind of thin until its really warmed up (its usually only good for cold starts) and since you're going to the track, thin oil isn't too good for engine protection.

weight of oil is fine. don't get too nervous. go on the third yellow light if u want a good reaction time...but don't worry if u go before or after if ur just going for time and not racing the guy next to u. reaction time does not count towards ur 1/4 mile time.

Thanks for the replies. I need all the tips I can get Also.... Where can I get Higher octane fuel??

just use 93 octane. no need for 100 or up. i think believe they only help for boosted cars...but i'm not sure.

They only sell 92 at the pumps In this area (Southern Oregon)

our cars only need 91 anyways so 92 is fine.
