So i was bored weds night

and went to the track

98 max, auto se. bone stock, right down to the air filter. 60k miles

made two runs
first, manual shifted at 6k {car finally shifted about 6200}

time slip
60 2.539
330 6.938
1/8 10.538
mph 68.87
1000 13.622
1/4 16.271
mph 84.57

now my thoughts were goin after this run.
stalled it to 2k, then hammered the gas when i launched

also had a red neck air box mod {air box is opened up by takeing the front two clips and placing them under the lid}

second run.
let the car shift itself
returned it back to the stock air box mod

2.446 - 60
2.966 - 330
10.680 - 1/8
66.51 - mph
13.872 - 1000
16.602 - 1/4
82.21 - mph

back to back runs.

maybe it was just heat soak, but thats a hell of a difference for two simple things to do. i think its go 15's in it, just needs better conditions out to do it.

again, bone stock, NO MODS AT ALL!
not even my famous free mods. nadda zilch zip

thought id share.

What do you mean "better conditions", like elevation or something? What was wrong with those conditions...

It definately should have 15s in it, as it was proven by many others deezo ran a 15.6 in a stock GXE, an SE might be heavier a little bit, but not to a point where it would make it a 1/2 second to a second slower

Man you would have been owned by my old 87 maxima on that run. Well I would have beaten you by 2 tenths all the way to the 1000' but then your 1/4 is 16.2 @ 84.5 were as mine was 16.3 @ 82.25 .

I ran 15.2 with just OSCAI and a K&N panel filter. You've definitely got lots of room to improve.
