Hey guys...SO it's 7pm tonight and im broke as hell so me and my girfriend decide to go to misquamicut (sp!) in Rhode Island. Well we're in the back roads and drive in a isolated part of the beach with nothing around. basicly car got stuck. in fact so deep in my front wheel rim was only out about 2 inches on top and the rest down was under sand. tried everything, after 1 hr. saw some people "wheeling" in jeeps who pulled me out. I'm wondering what could have gotten MESSED up in the max if it was so deep in, front was deep in up to bottom of front license plate. thanks in adv!

check your intake/air filter for sand... change if needed..

check for sand in your radiator, clean as needed

I buried a Jeep once.. it was sinking as we tried to get it loose. scary. took a bulldozer to get it out. and $10 in quarters at the car wash to get all the sand out of everything. Some got in the wheel bearings in the back as they failed about a week later. I dont think you will have that with the max tho.

 

lol i like your polish, i think its a mixture of the polish stupidity + 16 year old teenager at mind which is me!

 

My old sig pic I did get stuck on the beach, and maxima97gle was there, honestly traction control did save me that day.

 

I had a similar incident back when i was 17 in my CRX only it was 2AM and i had to wake up all my friends to help push it out.



BTW: I'm not Polish, but my then-Girlfriend, now wife IS.

 

and the seat cushions... I mean, it sounds like they're taking a beating to get the car to sink 14", so either shocks or seat will need to be replaced soon!

By the way, what were you and your girlfriend doing on a deserted beach, anyway?
