How do you keep your wheels/rims clean?

I know I have been a post ***** lately, but I must ask, how does everyone keep their rims clean? My buddy told me that he uses regular carnuba wax on his rims and that does the trick. Any other suggestions?

Another one which I stole from another link- Use a leaf blower to blow water out of the lug holes on your wheels after you wash your car- you wont have any drippies when you start rolling again.

I used Zaino on the face of mine, keeps 'em pretty clean. What I really like is when the inside of the rim is clean, not just the face. I need to take the wheels off the car to wax that area though. I would just love to find a way to clean that part easily, without removing the wheel.

I'm with you on that. My new wheels show a ton of the inner wheel. Wheel cleaner alone ain't gonna cut it.

I am a clean wheel freak! I will wipe my wheels down every day sometimes just to keep them looking clean.

What did you do with your other wheels?

As far as keeping them clean, don't spray any type of lubricant on the tires, spray it on a sponge and then wipe it on.

You should check the "Cleaning your Max" thread on the first page for some really good ideas. For the wheels though just soap and water...those wheel cleaners regardless of what they say are harsh. Meguirs works good for the detailing inside...no greasy feel or look but a nice shine! Happy cleaning.

I use Meguiars hot rims, and a small plastic bristle brush. Spray it on, insides too, then rub a litle with the brush(mostly the inside) then rinse. Every 4K miles or so I take the wheel off and clean it off the car. I add some meguiars cleaner wax after its done

Its been working out good. Yes it takes a little while and does require detailed attention, but its worth it.

Clean rims

Since I still have the stock rims on my 2002 SE, I have been able to reach inside and clean the areas behind the spokes. Normally, I use Eimann Fabrik Hi-Intensity to do my cleaning. However, the last time I washed the Max, I clayed my rims and then applied Klasse Sealant Glaze on them.

The next time I decide I want to do the rims like that, I might add the step of polishing with Klasse All-In-One.

I goto a local auto place and buy some rim cleaner. Then i use Miguars wax and put a light coat on. Then i buy some tire wax(turtle wax) and put it on w/ a brush! Wheels look like new for weeks!

My 19"s- one of them cracked and ADR doesn't have the decency to replace it. So screw them. They expect me to buy another wheel from them? I don't think sooo.

My stock 17"s are sitting in my backyard.
