Looks good cummy. I'm not a fan of hoodpins but if you had to put some in atleast those are small and unnoticable. Maybe paint them black?

Well, hoodpins are really recommended w/ CF hoods. He's just preventing it from flying up when driving

I don't think they're recommended with the Fiber Images ones but due to the experience of others I do agree it is in his best interest to put them in...

Actually I think FI does recommend the use of hood pins. I'm not sure of that. Whatever the case, you never know what might happen. So, just in case and not having to worry about my hood becoming unstable in the future, hood pins are a must.

As far as painting them black? Nah...these are steel looking ones, not chrome ones. I just want something that has a subtle look to it, so no chrome or colored ones.

That's why I though black would look good. But if they aren't chrome then I guess they don't stand out too much anyways.

FI better reccomend them, their hoods are **** poor quality.

Cuma, do you have any pics of the "damaged areas" of your hood? I'm interested in taking a look.

Thanks

Sorry I don't have any pics of that. I tried to take some pics of it before but it didn't come out too well. It's kind of hard to see the damaged areas by looking at pictures. Best way to is look at time in person.

Nope. I wish I could run low 15s like you DC guys. My best recently was only a 15.6, not good.

So which one of you DC guys going to hit high 14s NA?

Jay Pee ran a 14.98 @ 93 a few weekends ago but he did it at MIR (Maryland International Raceway), different from the OFFICIAL crappy track of the DC Maxima.org chapter a.k.a Capitol Raceway .

BenBlanco's top run is a 15.14 and I'm still sitting in second with a 15.13 @ 91.59 BUT that was before the VB. Im hoping to have a different experience with my VB than yours and Im hoping for a few tenths. I dont know how it would be possible to NOT improve. Shift lag = precious tenths, No shift lag = get precious tenths back.

We'll see. Im hitting Capitol next Friday.

Yeah the VB might help you out. My problem is I think my tranny is shot. So if that's the case, I can't blame the VB. That's why I think I'm running so poorly. Nothing I can do now, just have to deal with it.

Good luck to you and Ben in hitting 14s!

DCMax: now that you have the VB, are you going to leave it in Drive or still going to manually shift it? I say do both and see if you get better result than me. Btw do you guys leave OD on or off? Shouldn't matter right? I tested this at the track and it didn't make any difference for me.

Well, Don sticks by the "put it in drive and floor it" method so I'll probably do my first couple of runs doing that. I'll probably brake torque at like 1200 and then let it loose.

I personally used to always turn OD off but Im pretty sure I ran my best time with it on so yeah, I dont think it really does much.
