I guess I need to learn about the 3rd Gens now

My sister just bought a 93 GLE. Needs a few adjustments but it was smooth for the most part. The exhaust had a lot of carbon coming out when she hit the accelerator but that's nothing running the highway won't clear up, along with a good couple bottles of Techtron. Which engine does this one have? It had a little sponk but it didn't feel like it had 190HP. School me 3rd gen peeps.

Well I'm a 4th Gen peep as you know so I'm not sure on this, but I think all '93 Maxs had the 190hp engine. BTW listing the equipment she has might help too.

Could be an SE, , it does have the wing on the trunk, the rear speakers say "Active Speaker System" on them, and the grill is the same color as the body,. The car is loaded except for a sunroof and fogs. Might be a loaded GXE.

theres no GLE on 3rd gens only GXE and SE...look at other feaures of the car:
white gauges: SE
chrome window trim: GXE
these are 2 common features to judge by that arent typically altered by aftermarket like wheels, fogs, spoilers etc are

Well remember, if you've got time, I've got time too (which I've been using very generously). I think when I start to make changes to the Max, people won't believe its even happening.

Lol, I suppose I should take that into consideration as at my age, I don't have a steady income . But I already got a nice ride for now.
