girl told me nice car on friday

Took a girl out for lunch on Friday and she said nice car. I guess the 4th gen with leather comes across as nice even by today's standards. Then my buddy who sat in the back said WTF happened to your seat? hehe the whole cover is missing and you can see the foam inside. I told him how the dealer took it off to fix the lumbar, and then ever since it would keep falling off. I've tried double-stick tape, adjusting those snap thingies, no luck. And the dealer down here refused to fix it even when my car had 26,000 miles.

Anyway I'm over 60k now bro's! I really hope this car can last at least until 120k or so because all my money is going into the new house, that is, if I can find it. The prices are so high right now, seller's market for sure. Like a honda dealer selling CR-V's or something, no wiggle room for the buyer!

Since the powertrain warranty is entirely spent, now I don't really care about putting mileage on the car. 235k on a 3rd gen with VTC is really good.

My buddy with a Sentra got scared by the dealership, they told him he will void his warranty since he skipped the 15k service. Are you ******* kidding me???? I told him to be cool bro', you're fine. I only did the 60k service and that's it. Plus his plugs are good to 100k. As far as I can tell dealers really don't hook up with each other as far as maintenance records goes. Yes, if there were a big dispute Nissan might get involved but seems like they ask for paper proof of maint.

You guys say I can make it to 120k easy, great! It's like free motoring until then, only gas/insurance. Maybe need to replace the brake pads in the rear one of these days when I get about 20 minutes of spare time...hehehe but I do need that caliper tool for the back.

when you say 'treat it right', what exactly does that mean? i get all my oil changes and services done and stuff, but i still push it and slam brakes and all that good stuff...my dad will hurt me if i cant get atleast 150k outta it and i will be very disappointed if i cant cuz i loooooooooove this car and treat it better than i treat myself...current problems: SES light [my CAT is f***** up], my front drivers window can be pushed/pulled up down a couple inches, my rear passeneger side window is squeaking, and a mildly violent start-up...besides that, beautiful

I've done my own maintenance for a long time now.

I also drive the crap out of the car on a daily basis. Just give it good care and feeding and it will run hard forever.....

Keep doing that, and it will not last 150K.
