any one gone from tockicos to kyb agx?

I tried the search but didt really get any good info other then oppinions from people who used one OR the other. I am thinking of changing the front shocks to the agx's from my toc blue's. I have progress springs right now. Can any one give me any info on how their car felt after the agx's if they has the blue's on before. My tock's work perfect so I dont want to change them unless the difference was impressive after the switch. Thanks for your imput.

I'm on AGX's. I just installed Tok. Blues in my buddies I30 last night. Just from pushing on the shaft I can tell the Tok's are no where close to the AGX's as far as firmness goes. There like a stock replacement.

The AGX's are a very firm, nice riding strut. Were both on stock springs right now and our cars ride totally different. Granted I'm an SE and the I30 is more like a GLE ride, the difference in the two struts is very clear.

I went from Tokicos to AGX when i had my 99. THe difference was like night & day. The AGX rebound over bumps a lot faster but what i did notice was the Tokicos was a plusher ride. If you want OEM ride quality, go Tokico but if you want some of that extra edge and sporty feel, the AGX is the way to go. I know the AGX has a lifetime warranty to the original owners (who orig bought the AGX) and the Tokicos are eithe rlifetime or 100K mile warranty.

HAHA I would hardly call my current tockico/progress "plush". I wish there was some one in the north florida area or a north fl/ga meet so I could actually drive/ride in a car with te agx's. I dont want the ride to suc any more then it already does but when Im exiting steep arking lots or hitting speed bumps at even like 5mph-10mph I feel like the suspention is on two differnt wave lengths. Its like the shocks react 1/2second too late to the force of the speed bump or the drop from a piece of broken pavement. I wish there was a way to get my dads 5gen SE ride with my drop on it. His car is very firm but sooo quiet and smooth.

Ms. Lime Girl - you doing your suspension this weekend too? That funny, I'm putting some B&G's in on Saturday. Already have the AGX's in there. You taking it to your buddies shop? Lucky girl, you'll have a lift!

Funny you asked, I just changed Tokico Blues to AGXs and there is a night and day difference. The car is more responsive and more stiff. I haven't tried any other setting, just the stiff one, and they feel great. I deffinetly recommend this upgrade!

hehe...only if he stops screwing me over and allows me to get in there. I'm actually going to pay his best mechanic to help me...if he lets me in there. If not...home install again.
