must buy weatherstip?
if my weatherstip around the trunk is leaking from somewhere which is what i was told, is there anyway i can fix it with tape or anything or is it not worth bothering with and just getting a new one????????? thanks.
hold on...
R U sure it's the trunk's weather strip? Check the strip all the way around, does it have rips, tears, or is it separating from the body anywhere? Most leaks come from the gasket between the tail light assy. and the body. I already had to replace a tail light and it's got a 1/4" thick strip of what I can only describe as a tar-like substance keeping water from coming in thru the holes in the body behind the tail lights.
So if you do find an actual verifiable leak in the strip around the trunk, buy a new one from the dealer, don't just jerry-rig it with tape.

Re: hold on...
Did anyone ever get a quote for these weather strips from the dealer? It can be the trunk and/or door weather strips? I always wanted to know how much these run.
