hold on...

R U sure it's the trunk's weather strip? Check the strip all the way around, does it have rips, tears, or is it separating from the body anywhere? Most leaks come from the gasket between the tail light assy. and the body. I already had to replace a tail light and it's got a 1/4" thick strip of what I can only describe as a tar-like substance keeping water from coming in thru the holes in the body behind the tail lights.

So if you do find an actual verifiable leak in the strip around the trunk, buy a new one from the dealer, don't just jerry-rig it with tape.

Re: hold on...

Did anyone ever get a quote for these weather strips from the dealer? It can be the trunk and/or door weather strips? I always wanted to know how much these run.

Thanks,

The trunk weatherstripping piece that goes all the way around is $62.00 from courtesy.

(Yea, that's for my 95, but I figured the 96 would be the same. Can't say the same about the 97-99s)

check out www.jcwhitney.com and do a search for weatherstrip if you can't find it anywhere else.
