WEll everyone i was wondering if anyone knew how fast a volkswagon jetta vr6 is holy **** i had it off the line and i dunnoif it was bad gas in my tank but the thing fleeeeew! by me i was very humbled .... my friend said that i shouldnt make any excuses like i have a four door though of his car weighs less or i wasnt really racing just thought i would share my pain....

 

Wow..do you have a 5 speed? I race my friend in his sister's 2001 VR6
and we are dead even until about 80 if we both get good starts, then I slowly walk away in my 99 5-speed till about 100 where we shut down. But any time we race he has never "flew" by me.

...within the one day I had my 97. I am auto BTW, but he was a 5spd with CAI and exhaust, nice black GTI VR6. But now it's at the turbo shop with a T3/T04E hybrid, 555cc injectors, standalone system, it's gonna spank the sh*t outta most of the cars down here in So. Cal.

Now only to figure out how to keep people from stealing it...

 

Yea those Jetta VR6s are pretty quick. I was at quallcomm stadium and was running the 50 shot automagic and this dood was only like half a sec behind me it was pretty scary and he said it was stock. I know a friend of mine that has a 95 turbo jetta running 12 psi its stupid fast

 

no im a 5 speed but he had exhaust intake and god only knows what else all i got is a muffler so i dunno.. maybe i had a bad start......ill have to find him again

You need a manual. I couldn't sleep last night and went for a drive. I spanked a Golf VR6 and a Golf 1.8T I was ahead by more than 2 car lengths before the 1/4 was over, and the only thing I have is a custom made intake. Then again, I was running consistent 14.8's and 9's bone stock.

You must get a Y Pipe and Crush VR6s.
My friend has a VR6 with a NWSPD CAI.
I have WRPSPD YPipe,Greddy SP,RTCat,CAI,and UDP.

I crush him all the time. I beat on him like a weak sister.
Although, with my mods I sound like I dropped a V8 in.
There is reported ear bleeding in my neigborhood when I go WOT.

how would a stock auto 99 ES with LSD fair against a stock 2001 Jetta 1.8t 5 speed. A drivers race, or should I whip him. I'll tell ya, he is talking mad smack!!
