Re: AndyXXL, Let's See the Bimmer!!!!!!!!

Got my bimmer yesterday. All I can say right now is WOW! The car is great and much more than I expected. It had 10 miles when I picked it up and by the end of the day it had 117. It's hard to keep the RPMs below 4K, really really hard
I spent half of the day today in the car reading the manual and checking out all the toys. I'll post the pics soon.

Actually, I just recently got a 2002 Steel Grey 330i. I also really like these cars, they are really sweet.

the M5 was the sedan of my dreams too, until earlier today when i read in the June issue of Road & Track about the upcoming Audi RS6:

Audi RS6, based on the A6 but with:

twin-turbo-charged 4.2-liter V-8
450bhp and 413 lb-ft torque
Quattro all-wheel drive
dynamic ride control (hydraulically connects diagonally opposed shocks, allowing them to counteract movements along both the longitudinal and transverse axis)
widened fenders to contain wider tires
steering gear designed to provide quicker response
sports tuned suspension
high-performance brakes

I got a 330ci with sport pkg, leather, moonroof, bi-xenons and 12 speaker Harman Kardon stereo. A used 5er was much more than a new 3-series. It's 2 door, so it has enough legroom for me

Yeah until 2005 )

BMW will follow in 2005 with a 500-hp 5.5-liter V10-powered M5 designed to provide the M5 with a direct link to BMW's F1 involvement with Williams.

M5's are underrated, but still, there's nothing quite like factory turbos! Wait until the new one comes out, it's gonna produce nearly 500HP

the only thing i wonder about is where BMW's styling is headed. after seeing the new 7 series, i'm kinda scared to see what the new 5 will look like.

I have read somewhere that the new 03 5-series will be redesigned once again before hitting the showrooms. Obviously, no one is impressed with Chris Bangle's designs.

Andy, congrats on the new bimmer!! Great choice on color, model...

I have another two years to go with my Maxima before it's up for "reconsideration"... I may snag a well cared for '02 330ci like yours or, depending on how well Audi did with that RS6...

Also, a well cared for M5 can be a nice buy too (after '98).
