Really weird feeling when letting off the gas, like the tranny is loose..????

Whenever I am driving and let off the gas, I can feel something bump underneath the car, well it moves the hole car very noticeable. It is like something is tight when you have your foot on the gas, but when you let off it loosenes up the tension and something is backlashing. That is the best I can describe it. It just now started on my 95 with 120,000 and my moms did it at like 70,000 and she now has 80,000. Hers is more pronounced than mine. I have no idea what could have caused it. BTW, its on an automatic tranny. Its really annoying. Seems like something is loose in between the tranny - torque converter - and the axles or drivetrain stuff. Doesn't happen when going slow, like under 30 or so. You can also push the accelerater a little and let off and it does it. Sorry for the long post, anybody else have this problem???

my car feels the same way and i'm thinking it's the motor mounts, but it hasn't really bothered me yet to where i've tried to fix it

Try searching on motor mounts because it sounds like that.

11:00 yep im thinking it might be the motor mounts.

11:25 i just checked them using the "if the engine moves when you apply a little gas in R or D then they are bad" well my dad said thats BS and it SHOULD move a little, so im on to other theories.

I have an SE with liquid filled mounts I think, my moms got the GXE and hers is worse. I may have to take it to a mechanic because nobody seems to know what it is.
