Funny story today (long)

Well, this afternoon I am in front of my house changing my oil. I live on a dead end street. I see a white 4th gen Maxima come down the road with 17" wheels and clear corners. I immediately get excited because there are very few maximas in my town. Guy drives back by my house and I wave. He stops about three houses up, puts it in reverse and comes back. He gets out and we start to talk. Here is the FUNNY PART OF THE STORY. Turns out he is driving a 98 SE with 55,000 miles on it and it has a V1 SUPERCHARGER in it.
The guy knows nothing about the Maxima at all. Turns out a friend of his owns a car lot and the car came through.

He says " It is kind of fast". He saw my upeer tube for my PRCAI and thoughtI was supercharged too.

It was a white car with grey cloth interior. I almost took his number so he could give me a call when he was ready to sell the car. Apparently he knew nothing about Maximas and had an awesome "bolt on" modification.

Lucky son of a beach!! I was like man, this guy does not deserve a SC. Oh well!! My NOS kit and ME VI will be on soon and I will drive faster.....

Any of you guys know fo anybody that sold a white 98 SE with a supercharger in the Central PA area?

What a lucky guy! I hope a Maxima enthusiast buys it after him so they can realize the true beauty of its performance.

It was strange. He knew it was in the car but did not realize that there are a thousand or so people that would trade cars in a second. He said that he noticed it really picked up speed at certain RPM's. He bought the car for next to nothing with low miles and he was not an enthusiast by any means. I wanted to trade for a second

Because for the true Maxima enthusiast, the quest for car improvements can never be easy... it is part of what helps bond you to the car. Only the Maxima owner who has worked hard for improvements can truly appreciate his ride.

See if you can talk him into selling the S/C. If he really doesn't care about it, he'd probably be willing to sell it for $1k? I don't know what else is involved with adding a S/C, but $1k is a alot of money (to him) but a GREAT deal on a S/C.
