My cousin just ordered one and I looked up the specs (184/175)... Seems pretty similar to the Max and I bet the weight is similar even though his is a coupe...

Has anyone raced one? I know the edge for these cars is in the twisties - I'm stock height/wheels with FSTB and RSB...

Any thoughts?

 

My opinion: fairly equal race on a 1/4 mile, but if you guys are racing in the twisties, forget it...

 

yeah, I raced one, but we started in a double turn lane so it was pretty lame. once we got on the straight away, it was neck and neck, I pulled on him eventually in third, so Id say I won.

 

my parents have a 2002 325i steptronic. while its a sweet car, I'm pretty sure an auto maxima will beat it in a straight line race (its heavier and a little less power)..

but as TheSoundSoldier said, if you go in the twisties and your max has stock suspension, forget about it...

 

You have 2 months to start modding your maxima before the you get a chance to race. I'm sure even a stock max will be able to take 325ci by a few car lengths.

 

I'm closing on a house this week, after that CAI/y-pipe is probably upcoming... I just hope it isn't too loud for my fiancee, we share the car...

 

Keep the stock muffler and it shouldn't be that bad.
