5 speed drivers, gas pedal needs light touch or heavy foot?
5 speed drivers, gas pedal needs light touch or heavy foot?
reason why i ask is cause i normally drive my friends 5 speed corrolla which needs the smallest hit on gas for car to rev up and today i drove my other friends 88 honda accord with aftermarket clutch and intake and exhaust and his feels real powerful (like it can probably give me comp) and its like u need a heavy foot to initally move gas pedal, which for me would be hard to change gears nicely...just wanted to know if 4th gen max need heavy foot or light foot or something in between perhaps...or are all cars just different?

If anything it is more on the light side. I know what you mean though, the truck that I drive for work has a tough brake pedal that you gotta press pretty hard sometimes.
It's pretty light, especially for a sedan. The Corolla's is light because it makes the car feel peppy and responsive. Usually, when you get into the bigger cars the gas pedal becomes "firmer" with a longer travel and slow initial response. This is because most of the drivers who drive these types of car's are looking for smoothness, not outright performance.
