60,000 Mile Tune Up

Ok, I'm doing my 60,000 Mile maitenence.

Oil change with Mobil 1 (I know Amsoil is better ) and Nissan oil filter, with a new little copper gasket.

Replace fuel filter with 300ZX filter (does it matter what year?)

Try the poor mans intake, if im not happy, new OEM filter.

Coolant flush and fill

ATF change (do i need to do anything else, and can anyone recommend a brand thats not stupid expensive)

I'm also considering replacing the belts, they make a very quiet squeal sometimes when its cold, do you think its neccasary.

Thanks

I noticed the 300zx fuel filter, does it increase flow, or was it just designed better?

Does your Max have ABS? If so, any tips on changing the fuel filter? I'd like to do that myself but the slew of ABS pipes around the filter don't look "friendly".

It's larger, so it should last longer. Flow is not an issue, the fuel system flows as much as it needs, no matter how big of a line you give it.

...Or get BKR5E-11 copper NGK plugs and spend less than $10.

You'll have to gap them yourself and change them at least every 30k miles...but they're a hell of a lot cheeper.

If you are going to use Mobil 1 oil I would suggest Mobil 1 ATF as well its not tooooo expensive and you don't change it every month or anything. I do suggest you do a complete drain though, takes about 10 litres, there are a few places with complete instructions, pretty easy. You might want to consider a cooler at the same time, not expensive and will give you a little piece of mind if you drive your car hard.
Usually when they squeal they are loose so you could check the deflection and if they are ok, probably cheap insurance to change them anyway.

Here's some help

http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/megamax/60k_service.html

Fuel filter is a PITA! It's not really a hard thing to do, it's just hard getting your hands in there and getting the F-in hoses off the top and bottom.

I just finished the fuel filter. I found it much easier to get to after i removed the intake. Then i just pried at the bottom of the hoses with a flat tip while i pulled the hose away from the filter. Once you get the hose to move a little try twisting the filter also, that helps.

A 300ZX fuel filter is about twice the size, but it fits in the old bracket perfectly. I think it was like a dollar more then the Max filter, but it should last a while longer.

All in all it wasnt half as hard as i expected.

Does anyone know the proper deflection for the belts, I dont want to make my new belts the same as the old ones since they might be off a bit.

I changed the fuel-filter yesterday and it's pretty easy to get to once the air-intake is assembly is removed. Taking the hoses off took a few minutes, but overall it's pretty easy.
