making more hp

if i pull the smog pump and all that other government required crap off my 88, will it effect my ecu, if so does anyone know how or where to get it reprogrammed. i am also taking off my ac pump. has anyone eles done this?? what size belt will fit now any help would help. this is my first shot at hookin up a nissan and a import v-6.

Yes, removing anything that has a sensor or electronic component that piggybacks to the ECU is going to cause your engine to run like crap, or worse, not run at all. You can have Jim Wolf Technology do a custom ECU program with it removed, but might I suggest you think along the lines of a turbo?
