Throttle body cleaning question

Hey I was planning on cleaning my throttle body today so I went to pep boys but I couldnt find any throttle body or intake cleaner so I asked this biker dude what he thought I should use and he told to buy Gumout Carb and Choke Cleaner and I was wondering if that stuff will work or should I just go somewhere else. Thanks

Just like 2 days ago someone posted a message because they're having problems with their car after they cleaned the intake with carburator cleaner. I don't know if there is a difference between the two but you should use the throttle body cleaner just to be safe. I don't think they would be two different products if they're the same thing.

Pepboys carries it, if you can't see if ask someone at the counter. There are a number of different companies that make it..GUNK, STP, Strauss has their own brand.

Go to Autozone or the like. The one I got and used is called "Throttle Body & Air Intake Cleaner" by STP.

GUMOUT makes an "Air Intake & Throttle Body Cleaner".

Whatever brand you choose, just remember one thing, most throttle bodies have protective coatings. Buy something that is safe for it.
