Well I am upgrading my suspention on my 97 se, going with Sprint 2" drop and konis all around. In addition I wanted to also go with either the stillen sway bar set or the stillen adjustable rear sway bar. Which would be the better setup? Or would it better to go with strut braces instead of the sway bars?

Stillen bars...

are EXPENSIVE!!!
Go with the Courtesy Nissan front strut tower bar and an Addco rear sway bar. Does the $tillen sway bar kit include a front sway bar? A stiffer front sway bar will add understeer (I'm pretty sure you don't want that). The fstb will give you more stable handling in turns, while the rsb will drastically reduce understeer and keep the rear in line for more neutral handling. So my opinion (and i think most of the guys around here will agree) is nevermind the rear strut tower bar (the trunk already provides more than enough regidity) and the front sway bar, and pass on the stillen parts unless you like spending more money than you have to.

cour. nissan fstb= $~75(plain)
stillens fstb=$~150(looks cool)

i forgot the price for the rsb, but ive heard it kick azz..and it well worth it. the addco version isnt adjustable though. its cheaper than stillens though..

I've got the Stillen FSTB, RSB, and RSTB on my '95 SE. They are pricey, but they look and work great. The FSTB and RSB, which I installed about 2 years ago, made a huge difference in the way my car handles/corners. Nice. Planted. Solid. A real slot car. I added the RSTB about a month later, and I didn't notice an improvement. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably stick with the FSTB and RSB only. My 2 cents.

Only the Front Sway bar from Courtesy.

Then the Rear Sway bar from Stillen.
Then if you are really avid and only then, get the rear strut bar from stillen.
The first two will give you phenominal results. You will only be able to feel the rear tower brace if you have the Rear Sway bar underneath. -Otherwise, don't bother with it.
These mods will make your MAX handle like a Demon.
The Stock powertrain is awesome out of the box.
Tend to your suspension.
