Leather Seats Repair

I just got a '92 Max GXE with black leather, but the leather is kinda hard and its got some white spots on it. It's not in bad shape, but it could use a clean up. Any suggestions on methods?

Depending on how "hard" the leather is and what these white spots are, you might but stuck my friend. Personally, I like to use saddle soap for conditioning, just don't get it on the seams or you won't get it out.

Good luck.

there's a product called Lexol sold at most parts stores.. it's said to be a very good leather conditioner/softener, but it didn't fix my crusty leather seats either.

saddle soap is another option. if you DO get it in the seams, a toothbrush dipped in water will scrub most of it out- then jsut be sure to wipe off excess water with a clean cloth.

Try Bick-4. It's available at saddle shops & feed stores, or go to bickmore.com Clean with saddle soap first, then apply. My front passenger seat is kinda hard, but it's getting better with this stuff.

when I bought my seat

black leather on ebay for 200 they looked ok, the actuall leather was good with no cracks, but it was real dry, I used mequiers for 2 weeks everyday, that filled in an closed some of the stress marks, then after that I used Gliptones conditioner to put a shine on it, now the leather looks brand new, and I condition it about 2 times a week, it also helps if it is humid outside when you do it.
