Please stop asking about the GLE. It's in 5 threads already!

Right....the there is no 94 (3rd gen) GLE...please understand that. they made the 4th gen beginning in 94 as a 95 model year. 4th gens came in a GLE. Does that help?

This may make me look like a friggin moron, but I didn't even know that the 94 Max's were even a 3rd gen, I thought that they had a new body style. Are they pretty much the same as the 93s? What models do they come in? SE GXE? And what the hell is a GLE I've never even heard of it, and what is the VG that you guys speak of? I'm new to this, so please don't consider me an idiot.. ... .adios.

From what I've figured out in 1989-1994 there were two models: GXE and SE. There was a sort of luxury package you could get on a GXE that had leather and Bose etc., but no white gauges, spoiler, window moldings, etc. In 1995 they changed the body style and had three models: GXE, GLE, and SE. The GXE being a base model available with a manual tranny and hardly any perks. The GLE is the Luxury model with leather, Bose, and MOST of the perks of an SE, but once again no white gauges and other things that are typical to SE models. Then, of course, the SE that has the white gauges. Most of the options that were only available on the SE models in '89-'94 models such as spoiler, fogs, etc. were available on the GLE model in 1995.

might I add the GLE does not come in a 5speed because this is the luxury edition and most luxury editions do not come in standard tranny. Like davis449 said, the GXE comes in 5spd as well as the SE which is also has the stock sport suspension which is a harder suspension then the softer GXE and GLE models.

Actually in Canada, the Leather package for the GXE, was called a the GLE package, so if your in Canada, that may cause some confusion.

I had actually said that on another thread. I could have sworn that they called the leathered out GXE a "GLE package" even here in the U.S.

But remember the GXE/5-speed combo is only 4 gen. and up.
