hehe, a 2000 WRX...
The guy said he wanted something newer....I think it'd be pretty tough to find a 300ZX/RX-7/Supra with low enough miles to qualify as "newer" when compared to his 4th gen max...
Speed, pimpin, big truck...heh...if you can't narrow it down to one of those ranges, I don't think any of us are gonna be much help to ya
You could look around the 99 model year for rides that you like, in the hopes that a lot are coming off of leases right about now...

The prelude is a very good idea right now, because they're going extra-cheap where they're still available. Fun car, great styling, reliable, and its the one honda 4-cyl that has *some* low end!
Though I wouldn't necessarily buck up to the SH, seeings as how I believe in terms of factory options, it has *one* notable differentiating option than the normal model. I forget which, but I know it adds more weight and the turning radius is increased a bit! Not very cool for the model that's supposed to be better...

i was thinkin of a prelude sh also. i thought they were a v6?? ne one know ?? thanks guys. im lookin more toward a prelude or my previous car. 1995 type 2 acura legend coupe. if i can find one with low miles
Prelude's are 4-bangers, my friend. A bigger/more torquey (not as much as a Spec V, but still more than all the other honda 4-cylinders) 4-cylinder, but 4 nonetheless. I personally liked the 94-95 Si's & Se's the best (SE with leather, etc...can't get that stock in a 5th gen lude. Also, the phatty gas-lit uni-dash display
)
94-95 6-speed Type II Legend coupes just might be my favorite "affordable" car of the 90s. But pretty much impossible to find one with reasonable miles. Couldn't get an auto coupe...that'd be wrong :/ Came an inch away from buying a beige 93 (first year of Type II in the coupe, but still older exterior style elements) 6-speed legend coupe with 95k on it right before I got the max...dealership messed with me way too much because I was young though. The car had ample problems as per my Honda mechanic that they wouldn't acknowledge, among other things
0-60 in 6.3, stock...

What do you want in a car?
how about just moving up in the Maxima chain?
Get a 99 SE with everything you want, or you can even get a 2000 Max with 40-60k miles with some options.. although i feel that 5th gens are a waste unless it's a 2k2, since 4th gens are faster than 2000-2001.
