well

have you done any maintance work???? you just can start using 93 octane and think that will solve the problem. exhust leak, intake leak, and anyother problems that can occur that can cause bad fuel eco. Make certain that all the filter and engine is in good running condition

Maybe it's from the crappy gas you use and yet tell everyone they're stupid for using higher octane gas.

[QUOTE]maybe it is time for me to move up to 93+ octane

I've a 92 SE and getting 200 miles from F to half tank mark. Usually, I can get up to 360 miles per tank. I'm mostly on freeway.

I owned 2 3rd gen maxima's and drove a 4th gen for a while. 3rd gen maxima's always get crappy mileage because of exhaust leaks, or fuel injectors leaking if you have high miles on your car. Good cars but if you want to have high mpg move up to the 4th gen where you can get up to 400 miles+ on a full tank.

For the record VE's arent noted for they're great fuel efficiency anyway. VG's typically get very good mileage. 5spds also get better mileage than auto's...

Before I replaced my O2 sensor I was getting 150 miles a tank, no joke.

Last week I squeezed 260 miles out of it. BTW I use 93 octane.

There seems to be an awful lot of VE guys getting horrible mileage. Nobody seems to have an answer. Just like the heat-soak problem. It's driving me insane...
