I would like that also if it doesn't look cheap. It would help my girlfriend figure out where the gears are! I'm trying to teach her how to drive but she always gets confused on where to shift to.

I've wanted this done for a while now too, but been too lazy to plan it out. If you make one, I will buy

I'd think that'd be the last thing someone would get confused on. First you go up...then you go down. Then you go up...and then back down! Esp with the Max's notchy nature...

Might really get tough the gears since Ferrari shift gates are hard as anything to shift smoothly. Always hitting the gates hindering a smooth shift, but maybe practice shifting would make it easier. I kind of like how the Maxima has the shift boot, makes the shifting easier and faster with practice. If you thought that your 5 speed is notchy now, wait until you put a shift plate on there. 2-3 and 4-5 will take forever. Forget your chances of speed shifting those gears.

I have a good connection with a metal shop. I may be able to get them made. But I would need a template, and I don't have a 5-speed. If someone wants to get me a template I'd take it from there...

I think aluminum would be much easier.
