suggestions for staying "scuff free" inside doors?

Wondering how you guys handle the scuffs across the inside doors of your cars and what you are doing the keep them scuff free?

Are you hanging signs or demanding that your passengers DO NOT kick the doors getting out or else? What are your solutions?

Thanks,

Yeah, I absolutely hate it when they do that. But I guess I care a lot more about my car than they do...

If there's a way to help prevent or even minimize scuff marks, I'm all ears.

Check out the pillar below your seatbelt on the side of the car. Probably has more dings than your exterior paint! When you unbuckle the seatbelt and let the buckle fly, it dings that pillar everytime.

Best bet, buy a new piece of trim. You can find them pretty cheap at www.oem-car-parts.com or through DaveB. You can replace them every few months if they get scuffed up.

I've been thinking of swapping my entire gray interior to a black interior by switching the trim pieces

Yeah, it took me forever to figure out where those dings were coming from. I also had another similar spot in my 2k before I got rid of it. The trim around the the "door cup" that you use to pull the door shut was worn away. I finally realized that my metal watch band was rubbing it everytime I would rest my arm on the door. I'm trying to be more careful in these 2 spots with my 2k2!

Make everyone take off their socks before getting in the car! That would be nice...but depending on your passengers, might cause a strange funk...
