Does the JWT intake take away from low end?

I was curious if the JWT popcharger takes away from low end power? If it does, is it noticeable? Where can I get a hybrid intake too? Thanks

What type of F-body do you have?

Do you have an auto or a manual? Tons of auto's have noticed lag, not so many manuals. It will lag you off the line briefly becuase all the hot engine air rushes in. The stock intake gathers cooler air right off the bat. As we all know denser (colder) air is better for power/torque.

I used to have a POP charger and right after I installed it (going from stock intake) I noticed a lag in power. The car did pull harder on the highway though.

I recently switched to a place racing CAI and can spin my tires more off the line, and my car seems to push you back in your seat more now.

As far as the hybrid intake goes, I don't see how this will solve the lag problem. It still sucks in the hot engine air off the line, it's just a popcharger with the back CAI tubing. It removes the intakes resonation and therefore will be louder, but as far as eliminating the POP charger lag, i'm not seeing it.

I've had a pop intake on my car for close to a couple of years. While the car is just as quick off the line, I think the best way to observe the torque deficiency is to let the clutch out in first gear, so the car is barely rolling, and then stomp on the gas. The car is definitely much slower until around 2500rpms, at which point it goes nuts and charges to redline.

I've had a hybrid intake (popcharger+CAI upper pipe) on my car since last summer, and I noticed a slight increase in torque. But the hybrid intake is really all about that intense growl
