Rewired to stay bright all the time right? What do you think of the result man? Worth it or not?

Questions

I'm interested in doing this also. How difficult was it to do? I got the directions off of http://www.maximadriver.org I guess I'm not extremely mechanically inclined. I also want to rewire the foglights too. Anyone in the Seattle area know how to do this?

I rewired my corner lights a few weeks ago and I think it looks great. It really helps even out a superwhite bulb set If you can get the corner lights out of the car you're about halfway there. The next hardest part is getting the little rubber stopper out of the corner light. I drive a '99 so my corner light only had 1 connection. I just moved the wire from the 5w to the 27w connection and now my corner lights are brighter. Voila!

IDEA,Here is what I did. I don't like the soldering stuff,
I did this on my 1997 GXE

Take the lens out. Remove the bulb from the socket.Take a small flathead srewdriver and pry up on the little black plastic piece while pushing up on the wire in
the back(black with the red stripe). This wire is the to work with. The other wire(black) is just a ground and there is no need to mess with it. The wire(black
with red stripe)is soldered to the back of the little black plastic piece. Cut this wire
off of where it is soldered to,keep up with the spring so you won't forget it. This
wire will be spliced to the other connection. I drilled a hole straight through the
other side, through the solder and all and I took apart and old fuse holder, the flat
sides that look like a nail head this is where the contact point of the bulb will be.
Drill a hole big enough in the plastic to slide the wire from the fuse holder through
about 18 ga. size. Splice the fuse holder wire with a butt splice to the wire(black
with red stripe). Slide everything back into place and you should be set. The bulb
should shine brighter than it did in the beginning. All we are doing is lighting up the
high side on this dual filament bulb,by swapping contact points in the socket.

So what did you do? Wire the front blinkers to come on dim with the lights? (see the link in my .sig)

fog lights rewired

I live in North Seattle area and had rewired the fog lights. The fog lights can be turned on only with side marker on and they stay on with the high beams on. Of course you can turn off the fog lights anytime by its switch. It is not that difficult. It took me about 2 hours from start to finish including figuring the wire and covering the wire with black plastic cover.

If you need help, let me know.
