Rear suspension bolt and nut: What size?
Rear suspension bolt and nut: What size?
For those who tore up their rear suspension, do you guys remember what is the size of the bolt and the nut that mounts to rear axle?
Are they similar to the ones in fronts (19mm and 21mm, I believe...).
Let me know!

I hope that helps besides the gap police just posted
I am confused now...
...I thought in order to replace the rears, I have to take out the bolt and the nut, correct?
I assumed this because I did remove the bolt and the nut from the fronts in order to fit the KYB into.
Are you guys telling me that when swapping the rear suspension, I only need to loosen the bolt only?
I just want to make sure that I have the socket for that bolt and/or the nut. I really hate it if after jacking the car up and removing the wheel, I find out that I don't have the correct socket size for the bolt/nut in the bottom.....
The upper ones are covered, you are correct...it's 14mm.
Thanks guys!

Mark,
Thanks for your info. I have the full metric sets up to 19mm. I am just afraid that I will have to deal with a 24mm or something. But since this is not the case, I don't think I should worry anymore...

Yes the bolt has to slide out, but the nut stays held in place. If you have 12mm, 14mm, 17mm and 19mm tools you will be able to change the springs/struts/shocks on the front and rear suspension.

No there is no big 24MM for the front, just pop your hood and check the top three nuts those I forgot the size, but the front bottoms you will need once again a 17MM regular socket and a 19MM deep socket, or adjustable wrench or pliers or open end wrench to hold the 19MM bolt from spinning. The pliers you will need to pull the brake line clip from the front shock. only two bolts on the bottom and 3 nuts on top when you pop the hood you will see them. I recommend you have a breaker bar handy or a piece of Fence Piping just in case you can loosen the bolts or if not spray them with liquid wrench. Also while the shock is in the car loosen the center nut that holds the spring in place, therefor you dont fight with it when you compress the spring to remove it. Just a small tip

Jay25,
Hey...
Thanks for your reply. Perhaps I failed to ask a better question. I did my front suspension last weekend (both), but we had to stop since a cop came along. Therefore, we did not do the rears.
I have the tools you mentioned, so I think it should be fine. I already have a complete assembly for rears already, so what I had to do just to swap them.
Best regards,
Armand
