I was wounder if there was any way to make or product that PSSH noice a turbo or superC makes, with out having one... Us nitrous boy are fast , but somtimes people always give me **** about cheating and how nitrous isent cool... So i want to lead people to belive i have a turbo, crusin in the parking lot, but then when we racing use my Happy gas, and smoke them... any ideas, or think its possable?

If you search google for "fake turbo sound" or "fake blow off valve" or something similar you will come up with a few pages (involves some digging) but to answer your question: Yes, there is a box with a speaker that makes the BOV sound. Whatever floats your boat.

 

This is the way I did it.

Ride with a small child in the back. Place him on the rear floor. When needed, kick him, and tell him to made a "PSSSHHHH" sound out the window every time he feels your boot.

I wouldn't pursue this idea of yours IMO.

Wouldn't you feel pretty sheepish if someone asks to see your engine and you know that there's no sign of either a turbo or a supercharger present?

Besides, its money better spent on actual performance mods.

 

its not just wtaht i think about what people thing, i really dont want them to know what i have , if people know i use to run high 13s and all of a suden show up running 13s, they are going to know i have somthing , so id ratherthem think i have a turbo...thats all

Go to Altavista Translations to read it, since it's in Japanese. Somewhere on the site, I think they sell a blow-off valve sound effect machine. SCC featured it last year. It's something around $400. Not really worth it, imho.

 

You've got to be kidding me?

 

Its called a "purge" valve and it will scare anyone who doesn't know what it is...

IMO, much better then a BOV sound...

Sadly, no. This is not a joke. I stayed at home and cried for several days after someone mentioned this to me. I'll post a link to it. They even provide "cool sample sounds" so you can see what this ultimate mod can really do!!

Yes, I have more miles then any tranny should have, and its fine, even with 30,000 miles of nitrous spraying a full bottle a week....

I figure I just some how hook up a whistal in the intake so when it sucks in air it whistles...like a superC

 

See, normally I would laugh at that, but at the moment I'm having that problem....

I made an intake and the crankcase breather whistles between 1200-1800 RPMs. At first I thought I could live with it, but now it drives me nuts.

 

time to start another GD!
