I have to get the wheels aligned right? Is this just a front wheel alignment? How much should this cost? How about a balance, do I need that too? Anything else I need to know about my newly lowered/new strut Max? (Other than to watch out for driveways...lol). Thanks guys.

 

had the front wheels aligned for I think $40,and there should be no need to rebalance your wheel,anyways my car drives pefectly straight with just the front end alignment.

i definitely had my car re-aligned just because the whole car(depending on the drop you go with) sits approx. 1.5 inches lower,so yes this will affect your alignment! the skinny= pay the $ to get your car aligned!

 

After you get your car lowered and the alignment feels and looks okay, then I recommend you hold off on an alignment for atleast a week or two. The reason I say this is because your springs will settle over the next 3 weeks. The more it settles, the more the alignment changes. If you get your car aligned right away, it will be out of spec within 2 weeks. My springs settled for a month. I went from a 3/4 drop at first to eventually a 1.7" drop. I'm glad I waited.

Now, if your alignment is way out of whack after you lower it, then you've got no choice. However, chances are you'll need to get the alignment checked again in a month or two.
