is your maxima dirty right now?
is your maxima dirty right now?
I don’t know what has happened to me. I haven’t washed in maybe two weeks now and i really mind it. Its weird because I used to detail it at least once a week which would include a good rim brushing, washing, vacuuming, tire dressing, dash detailing, and then a light spray wax. Has this happened to anyone else?
Must be vigilant...
I think that all of us can safely say that we not only wash, wax and vacuum our cars daily, but that we detail the engine, shine up our rims, armour-all the interior, de-lint our carpets, and condition our leather on a daily basis...
Okay, that was a retarded thread.

p.s. the Blaxxxima is in serious need of a cleaning...

actually the dirt makes you slower since it adds extra weight to the car!

Didn't you read the part in the manual where it said "Make sure dirt does not ever come into contact with the paint, as this will most surely ruin it. Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT due to Nissan using cheap automotive paint/paint labor. Rather, because the materials and process used are of such a high quality, such meticulous maintenence is required"
*reminds himself to search the web for a postwhore smiley*
Cleaning your car gives you 30 extra horsepower. If you've ever played Gran Turismo 3, you'd know that.
I've given up on cleaning my car religiously...birds seem to like ****ting on my car as soon as Im done cleaning it. Also it rains right afterwards too, always.

Mine's forest green (almost black) and it's been more than 10 minutes since its last wash, so it naturally has a nice layer of universal dust all over it...
Interesting theory my mzmtg, it would make me feel better if I could believe it, but unfortunately I'm a chemical engineer.

my favorite thing:
waxing my car only for it to rain the next three days. then, the day it stops raining being nailed in bird poop. then washing it, and the following day it has poop on it again. i love my car clean but apparently not as much as the birds love it dirty. atleast i don't have a black car that gets covered in pollen...

My car is actually spotless right now. For the last month or so I hadn't cleaned it because of the fact that a shop wetsanded the hood and fender and forgot to buff the scratches out. It looked horrible and I didn't like seeing it clean because it stood out so much. So on Tuesday I had my whole car buffed, clay barred, and waxed for $110. They even made my scratches look better. They aren't gone but they look MUCH better. It is BEAUTIFUL now and I just keep staring at it.

PS i keep the black magic on hand
I haven't washed mine in like 3 weeks since one of my 18" tires popped and I went back to all stock wheels. I'm planning on washing it but I think it'll be a day when it's going to be sunny for days afterwards.
i park outside in LA so there's no point in regularly cleaning my car. it'll get covered in dust in a matter of days. i just make sure i have a healthy coat of wax and more importantly armor-all on the plastic parts and interior. everything else looks like shiet. by the way, how do you guys clean your engine bay?? what's the proper way to clean? wouldn't water damage some of the parts like, alternator, starter, electronics, etc?

Mine hasn't been washed in a few weeks. Its been raining just about every other day here, so there is no point. And then after I wash my car, the pollen gets ahold of it, and in about an hour my car is no longer black, but green. Stupid spring.....

The secret behind keeping your car clean is to get a few coats of wax on her that way when you wash the car you only have to use water and no soap. This cuts the process in half as far as time.
