OT: Honda guages made by ford??

Hey, sorry guys, this is a bit OT..... but my friend opened up his guage cluster today for his accord(2001) and there was a ford logo on the back of it. I have also heard that the three major japanese auto makers have the same guage manufacturer (therefore toyota and nissan also have ford guages???) Just wanted to know.

well, its not 100% OT, i would like to know if its true if maxima guages are also made by ford, since the 3 big companies supposably have the same manufacturer

You didn't know?? Some of the 6th generation Accord comes with
GM DELCO battery..
