How much space from the caliper to the spokes of the wheel? More or less than before? Same? Can you arrange to take a pic of how close the spokes get to the calipers? Thanks

not sure if you mean before the wheels or before the painting, painting same distance obviously bc paint isnt too thick, we are having a meet the coming weekend and id be able to get some pics then, btw the lexus wheels have to be cut to fit the lug pattern, not a straight bolt on, ken could tell you more

I know well what's required to fit any Toyota wheel. Thanks for info though. But I was referring to the clearance between the inside of the wheel and the outside of the brake caliper. It really has nothing to do with the painting thanks. ie.. dist between the inside of the wheel to the brake caliper. More or less than with stock maxima wheels and how much more. Thanks.

We removed the grill first, to avoid damaging the paint, then applied heat to the emblem via a simple hairdryer and removed it. Afterwards, just align the emblem thru mesh grill, into the factory openings. Finally we placed super glue to secure the emblem.

Looks good Ken. I'm assuming you guys left the calipers on the car when cleaning/painting them. It's a lot easier to clean/pain with the fronts removed, but the back are more work. I just repainted mine last night and it's amazing how much paint fades in only a year.

can you say screwdriver? well the heat did help, i was n the wheelwell while they pulled it off so im not sure, i cut the mesh, they secured it to the grille with zipties, made sure to leave the original openings and just put it right back, matt we did the entire painting by hand, so removing it wasnt really necessary, what type of paint did you use? and what color?

The first time I painted my calipes I removed them because I was working on my brakes as well. Cleaning/painting was easy, and I was able to get more than by working in the wheel well. After a year of abuse the paint was very faded so I redid them by hand. My calipers are black so I use barbeque grill paint that's good up to 1200 degrees

I didn't paint my calipers to be seen. I just think they look better than the unpainted calipers which tend to pick up brake dust and such. You can see the painted calipers, but you wouldn't notice them like you would if they were red or yellow (I bet you didn't even know my calipers were painted before). You can see them when I come back down.
