Polll: At which mod is a Max no longer stock?

I just wanted to get a basic idea of at which point you consider your car no longer stock

right now i consider my car to be stock
so far I have

1. intake
2. removed resonator and replaced with straight pipe and had tips welded
3. made my own e-brake boot and replaced shift boot and ****
4. replaced stock door sills with the chrome AE sills
5. replaced the stock stereo system
6. itty bitty rims
7. wood dash trim kit
8. ventvisors
9. streetscenes grill and valence

I think that she will be no longer stock once I add the rsb, sts, and drop her a couple of inches (cause that gap is nasty)

Once you put anything on that did not come from the factory, it is not stock.

I'm with Clee, any aftermarket part at all is not stock.

People shouldn't post stories that include, "I'm all stock except for..." If you have anything at all you aren't stock. That's why my posts include, "My only mod is..."

I agree with this reply. However, when I am in a race against another car and ask them if they are stock I am speaking of engine modifications such as bolt-ons etc...

My feeling is once you do anything to enhance the performance of the car, its not stock. You can go from stock tires to a different tire, as long as its not a type of tire that gives you a definite advantage over the stock ones like DRs or slicks, but going from stock Bridgestones to another tire of similar performance doesn't count as being "modded". Also, if you strip the interior out of your car, its not stock.

Technically any change to the car = not stock. What about replaced parts you ask? Lets say new/different sparkplugs for example then its not "stock" but then again its not "modded" either. Modded = any enhancements via aftermarket or did-not-come-on-my-car-when-brand-new parts that improve and/or enhance performance, handling, styling, sound, and/or functionability in any way. I consider my car modded, there are plenty of alterations done to improve styling, sound, and functionability (no performance or handling yet). Including; 99 SE rims, tires, clears, wood dash, and head unit/speakers.
