CD Player Won't take/load CD - HELP!
I have a '98 Maxima with a Bose system. The CD player won't take the CD! I just can't get it to load or take the CD in! It's not like it is spitting it back out at me or anything, it won't take it in the first place. It's like it is dead. And when I start the car, it makes a sound like it is trying to eject a CD. When I push the eject button, it makes the sound like it is ejecting a CD, but nothing comes out. Yes, I am sure there is no CD already in there.
Has anybody had this problem before? What can I do to fix it?
BTW, I tried a search, but the dumb search thing will not let me search for "CD" because it is less than 3 letters
, and when I searched for "compact disk" there was nothing. I also did a few other searches. Nothing.

reset
the unit may have to be reset. no, i dont have the bose, and no, i've never heard of that happening before, but it sounds like an internal mechanism has failed in the stereo. try removing the stereo, see if you can see anything out of the ordinary. then unplug it, and wait a little while (to clear the memory). plug it back in, and see if its cleared up. but be careful taking the center console apart...it can be a reeeaall bizoch!

um... yea, it looks like it might be kinda' a pain in the a$$ to get it all apart and then put it back together again. Maybe I'll take it to the dealer and let them do it.
