THINK my tranny is busted...i have a few signs...anyone care to investigate?

car got stolen as u all know and gas pedal got stuck but besides that, I also see my shifter shifts funny, its like easier to shift some gears and harder to shift others....

for example, when going out of park to reverse or something else, its a lot harder, its like u have to move it down a little and then press button for it to go off of park, and between drive and reverse, it seems to shift a lot easier...i think i even shifted once without holding button in...i think it may be tranny problems which i'm ok with because i'm doing conversion....in fact i kind of hope it is so atleast i KNOW what the problem is...or maybe its just a bad shifter? maybe the killed it or something...anyone have ideas? recommendations on what i should do? also my gas pedal got stuck so when i do conversion and what not, you think that will fix that problem?

people tell me it COULD be CAI but i had CAI for like 4-5 days before car got stolen and NEVER had problem with it getting stuck before...now a day or two after getting stolen, it gets stuck, thus leading to my accident...any ideas?

Check if the throttle is getting stuck on the connection of the CAI to the manifold

I think with most Maximas the shift from P to R can harder than R to D because sometimes when you park the car on a slight hill it rolls back. When you park the car put the e-brake on before you let go of your regular brakes. This stopped the problem for me.

nah, these problems have all occurred after car got stolen...there's a big difference in shifting with my auto now...i was doing these shiftings on flat ground, no hills or anything....i checked CAI and see no problem....

my major concern is that i do conversion and my gas pedal still gets stuck....

Probably because they probably beat the hell out of your car before robbing it. ie.. reverse/d/reverse/WOT/reverse/wot/reverse/wot.

I would take it to a shop and try to get more insurance $

yea, i'm thinking about upgrading my insurance as well....if they did all that, it should all be transmission problems right? maybe they did a crazy neutral drop?
