Well this is my first accident...I got cut off by a POS ford focuz and he couldn't make it so he slams his brakes I hit mine and I clip his back bumper doing about 20 mph ... my right side bumper lense is crack and the bumper has a cut in it.. bad thing is I took off his back bumper lol.. dude maxima's are tanks.

Question do you think a body shop could just fix that cut in the bumper or would I have to replace the bumper??..

 

sorry about the accident and welcome to the club =[ ......it wont be worth it to have it repaired since the whole bumper will have to be repainted again. a brand new front bumper will cost about 80 bucks on ebay. the paint will be roughly 200-400

 

Well yea, I was going to get the whole car re painted same color.. I guess this could be an excuse.

how much is ur deductable on ur insurence, if its low complain to them

 

If the bumper has more damage (IE dents) than just a scratch you should replace it. You will still have to paint the bumper if you replace it so you can still paint your whole car. If insurace is paying for it you might as well have the body shop fix it, your rates will go up both ways.

DO NOT, buy a new bumper of e-bay.. they are made of cheaper quality, you can get a new genuine nissan for 151. from courtesy nissan.. its soo much more worth it.. oh yeah, sorry about the accident.. the exact same thing happened to me. i still have a cut in my bumper

 

ha, i hit a bronco and he destroyed my bumper, fender, headlights, fog lights, and left diamond cut bumper and all i did was put this thick scratch on his inner wheel body area....so much for tank ehh?

 

really?.. i was looking at those... but i was thinking I'm sure a body shop could fill in the cut with some type of bondo and sand it back... its not that bad..right now my passanger side bumper lense looks ghetto the longer one is damaged but the side maker (smaller lense) is perfectly fine... if anyone has one laying around let me know..
