Any way to make my headlights turn off with the door?

Like the Toyota way to do things? I want to leave my light switch on, but have the lights turn off when I open the door. Anyone do this?

If you can reroute the positive (12V) that goes to the headlights to the switch on the door it would work. the switch is in the open position when the door is closed so i'm assuming it has three terminals. (one common and one for the "open door" light and the other for the dome and door lights) sooooo you would have to reroute the wire that goes to the headlight through the terminal which is "open" when the door is open. If you ever want your lights on with the door open then u got a problem. you cant just switch it off and then back on like toyota. anyways it looks like toooo much work for such a $hit mod anyway.

I always put my wallet in the centre console, so when i go to get it when i leave the car, ive heard the beeping long enough and shut the lights off. never fails for me.

speaking of the beeping sound, u could just upgrade that to something that sounds ALOT louder for all those that forget to turn off ure lights

Be a more wary driver. Don't waste your time trying to make you car wary of itself.

True to that. What you'll end up doing is making the lights turn off when you open the door...like you want...but then they will turn back on when you shut it.

How did you do that? I think it would be easier to wire the headlights to turn off when you turn the car off! If you wire them to the doors, then when you close the door wont they come on again? How do you wire it to the engine?
