Basic Question On Systems(help)!!!

Basic Question On Systems(help)!!!

a friend of mine has a system that he has never put into his spec v so he says he might sell it to me for about 100-200 it is 2 12's and an amp not sure how many watts but im sure its pretty good. anyway my question is can i put this system in without a deck and if so how will it sound? i have the bose stereo in my car right now? any info will help

yes you can put it in. It'll sound decent but definitley not as good as if you had RCA's running directly from the HU. What you do is use the rear speakers and connect them to a converter...that should work. I have this setup on my car and it's a 93GXE with a Bose and the bass sounds good. I usually have the bass half way on the HU...that produces good high's inside the car from the Bose speakers and some good sounding bass from the subs.

I would say that yes it is possible, but its not just hook it up and go. Bose makes everything more complicated. I think that if you want the absolute best sound quality, you should tear out the BOSE and put in an aftermarket deck and speakers. That way you can run the RCA's directly to your deck. It think it makes things more complicated with adapters and what not when trying to make aftermarket components work with the BOSE set up. Just my 2 cents.
