$20 isnt that bad, what ever floats your boat. It seems kind of pointless though, a sunroofs purpose is to let more sun into your car, if its tinted that wont happen. But you can always just open it, i guess its ur decision tho, seems like a waste of money. Nobody but you will be able to notice!

I'm getting mine done

it's way too bright with the slide open, so I usually keep it closed. I like driving with the slide open and the roof opened to the first notch but afternoon sun is a killer.

for $20 I'm getting mine done at least 20% if not more.

ok the reason why I want to do it is I leave the sliding part open all the time, & I love the light that gets into the car from the roof, but what i hate is the heat that burns my head/seat. I like light in my car thats not hot

i would recommend not doing it if you have illegal tint because it might save you from getting a ticket. when you open the slide it allows light in so the inside doesn't look as dark. this has seemed to work for me since my whole car is black, including the leather.
just my two cents.

I'm ok 100% legal, in Canada front is 35% limit & the rear is as dark was I want.
I got 35 front, 20 rear.

is there any other cons?

I have 35% all around including the sunroof. When I first got the car I couldn't tell if the sunroof was tinted or not until I opened it. 35% takes just the right amount of edge off the light. Lets lots of light in but doesn't blind you. I'd definitely recommend it.

yes, tint the sun roof. it lets way too much heat it. if you get a 20% tint you will be set. if you want more light in, well then just open it!

Let me tell you my theory of tinting the sunroof. DO NOT TINT IT. During the day, if you want light in the car, then just open it. If youre tinting it at 20% not very much light is going to get through anyway. Now at night, i think the whole purpose of the sunroof is so that you can see the moon and stars without opening the sunroof. Now why would you want to go and ruin that? Yes, you could just open it up, but sometimes its cold at night. I love having the sunroof closed at night and being able to look up at the sky.

You mean in Ontario, tint laws vary from province to province. In Alberta for instance, NO tint on the front windows (doesn't stop us from doing it).

I say try the sunroof tint. Can't hurt anything...

did tindamax just say 'DO NOT TINT IT?' wow those words shoulda never be muttered out of your mouth...anyway the purpose of a sun roof is solely so you can open it on nice days to let the sun or air in the car. now the purpose of a moonroof, well thats a different story...

If you don't want the heat coming into the car because of the sunroof why don't you just slide the cover over it. I would still want the light coming in without having to open it for all those winter months.

I tinted mine with mirror tint and i love it. It was only 35 bucks and it lets light come in, but almost no heat. Totally worth it IMO.

I have tinted roof

I got the sunroof tinted with 20% mirror tint to block the sun off the black leather. It works so well. I can leave the suroof in the elivated possition and touch the seats while it sits in the sun all day. I don't have any problems with not letting enought light in.

i would recommend not doing it if you have illegal tint because it might save you from getting a ticket. when you open the slide it allows light in so the inside doesn't look as dark. this has seemed to work for me since my whole car is black, including the leather.
A cop (from talking to them) is not allowed to give you a ticket for illegal sunroof tint. It doesn't exist. The only reason this is is b/c of the cars that dont' have sunroofs.

Black interior usually gets hot much faster than tan or grey one. I was also very annoyed by the sun shining right in my face, but limo tint was a great solution.
In my bimmer, the moonroof came already tinted from the factory

I just got my sunroof and whole car, except windshield tinted. Its much better than untinted cuz you can let the light in, but not the heat. At night, you can still see out of it no problem, its not like its total darkness. I would definetly recommend for someone in your situation. BTW i have 5% tint and i can still see out of it at night.

Ahhh. Mirror Tint. I love the way you can put your hand just under the glass and not feel anything. I hope you continue to enjoy as I am.
