ups delivered my maxspeeds a few days ago and i am wondering how long should i wait for my springs to "settle" before i go and have an alignment done again?

is this actually a necessity or is it just a "habit" that everyone has gotten into?

my girlfriend and i are leaving for orlando to visit my parents on the 9th or 10th of july. i am thinking about having the springs installed this week and having my alignment done sometime right before we leave. so that's about 2 weeks. what do you guys think?

 

Best to get it done within two to three weeks...lets the springs get fully settled and prevents uneven tire wear in some cases from developing...hope you like them.

 

I got mine too, and havent put them on my car yet, but my friend did and he got the allignmnet done few days after. I will get it done right after too since I dont want my tires to wear univenly

Just to let you guys know, they do not really settle a whole lot. I have had my MaxSpeeds for about 4000miles and they did not really settle. I measured the day of and about a week later with just a touch of settling (maybe 1/8" if that).
