Question for Stillen body kit owners....

Please, help me out. I just ordered a Stillen body kit and have a question. A friend of mine works at a body shop. I've decided to have him paint and mount my kit when I get it. He had me a little nervous though. He started telling me that most body kits he installs, usually don't fit to well. He has told me about some of the cars he had to hack to get the kit to fit. Did anyone have problems fitting your body kit to your car? I figured it would be molded to fit the car easily, but he says it is usually a lot of work. He has not done a maxima, so he doesn't know much about Stillen. I'm curious if this is going to turn into a big project. Please, tell me about your experiences. Thanks

It fits well. You shouldn't run into any problems. Unless you get a defected kit.

the way your friend is talking it will probably be the best fitting kit he has ever seen.

No need to worry about the Stillen kit. Your friend has probably had bad experiences with kits like the SARONA....

I was thinking this post might've addressed my question about the kit. Do you guys bottom out with your kit? If yes/no, what kind of springs (& drop) are you running?

fits well except.....

the rear is a piece of shiet/ the kit does not mold snug to the bumper so u have to play with the pieces/ i would do custom molding on the rear if i had the extra cash.

i think the kit fit so well they stole my front bumper once and i didn't notice it till i went home!

i bottom out on big hills/ not bad/ i'm running h&r with tokkiko blues

doesnt bottoming out refer to suspension ? you mean scraping while bottoming out? that must be harsh.

Yeah, I meant scraping. Sorry for the ambiguity.

Hey guys, how much would u say is reasonable to pay to get the whole STILLEN body kit painted and installed. My car is Pearl White (yes, the infamous and hard-to-match 3 layer coat paint!

Do you think it would be better to just get the kit painted by a shop, then do the install with the help of a friend? For the install, all you do is drill a few holes here and there, put some screws in, and some 3M molding double-sided tape? Or is there more to it then that? (From what I read on Cheston's how-to writeup). Thanks for help guys.

Thanks for all the help! I got the kit today and my buddy took a look at it. He was impressed compared to kits he has done on civics and eclipses. Hopefully, we can get it on the car after the holiday.
