All aluminum chassis, carbon fiber everything, fiber optics in place of wires, V12, kickin' sound system, functional ground effects.....
better yet, just make it the McLaren F1 with drive by wire controls.

go to an airplane graveyard, find a jet engine from a small plane. Mount it in the trunk, then when you need a bit of boost throw the switch.

It says you have a 98 SE in your profile. Depending on options, miles, etc it should be worth 11k-15k or so. So I guessed 13k, then you said you had 10k to spend

. Thats about 23k right there. The new 350z starts at 28k, or so carpoint.com says. 28k-23k=5k, thats where I got the loan amount from. The new Z would be the best performance upgrade to me. 190 vs 270+ hp, Rwd, 2 seats so you have an excuse not to drive your dorky friends around every where, girls will love it, it might actually be worth something in a few years in resale. Or you could throw that 10k in a CD for a few years and buy a used one in like 2004 and not have to take out a loan.

yeah, i agree, i would rather take the $10k + the trade-in of your max, and have a huge down payment on another car like the 350Z. Or maybe like a Supra (i dunno, i just really like those cars) just a couple cents for ya....

Not having to drive more than one person around at a time is priceless. I HATE being stuck with the driving responsibilities just because I have a 4 door (4DSC if it were a 3rd gen, haha) that fits 5.

That was the private party value I used, I think trade in would be like 8k or something. If you had ur parents co-sign for the 5-7k I bet the dealer would even finance it for you.
If I had the max in highschool it deff would have been the designated "ride out in" vehicle. Another good point of 2 seats is that when you have 3 passangers they wouldn't keep asking you, "dude, I though you said this car was fast", and I wouldn't have to keep explaining how their fat asses were slowing me down.

real simple - get a mustang or camaro manual, and modify that if u want. much more bang for the buck, and the aftermarket for it is huge. these are not "convenience" cars, but hey, you're only 17. no matter how much you mod your max, its still FWD, and you'll get more and more torque steer. pointless to spend serious money, unless you use slicks at the dragstrip, and then watch the parts break... so, instead, keep your max stock or mild (some suspention, intake, exhaust, maybe wheels), and you can buy one of those other carsi mentioned. you'll be grinning from their power, and if you throw some suspention pieces at them, and maybe some intake and exhaust too, you'll never stop smiling!

This is exactly it. I love the feeling of blowing away "fast" cars. These, usually American, cars that are supposedly fast fall to the Max on a regular basis and it is such a great feeling. Yes it is a sedan, but it will also kill some Mustangs and Camaros, etc. and that will just shock the sh*t out of them. Besides the fact that I like te looks, that is why I have a Max.
