20k miles, 10 months, warped rotors
I just hit 20k miles in 10 months. Yes it's a lot of driving, but it's driving with love. My rotors appear to be warped!!! everytime I slow down during highway driving I get a nice shimmying.
lucky me, that 3yr/36k warrenty had better work!

Worked for me. Although they busted my ***** about it. Here's how it went down:
Me: Hi, I'm Andy Logan, I'd like to check on the status of my car.
Service: Oh, yes, Mr. Logan, your rotors are definitely warped. Do you want us to go ahead and fix them for you?
Me: Absolutely. It IS under warranty.....right?
Service: Well, um, technically no. With that lowering kit you have on there, that adds undue stress on the rotors, which voids the warranty on the brake system completely.
Me: Really? That kit was bought from Stillen. Aren't you an authorized Stillen dealer (I point at the large Stillen sticker on the door to the parts department).
Service: Yes, we can custom order Stillen parts for you.
Me: When you sell those parts to your customers, do you tell them that it voids their warranty?
Service: Ummmmm, well....
Me: And I'm not trying to be a **** about this, but I'd really like to see some sort of literature that says that suspension modifications can directly affect brake systems.
Service: Let me go get the service manager for you. he's more familiar with this sort of thing.
10 minutes later
Service: (same guy)- Well, good news Mr. Logan- we are going to go ahead and honor the warranty for you this time only. We are remachining those rotors for you and replacing the pads. But we normally don't do this for customers, because with that kit on your car, the warranty is pretty much void.
I'm pretty sure about this one, but is ISN'T possible that a lowering kit could warp rotors....right?

Lowering kit affecting rotors?????? That;s the
biggest load of horsepucky I have ever heard. What could be next..that aftermarket water will affect da wipers?
Pretty classy way you handled this, BTW...I love the line of asking the idiot if they tell customers that Stillen add-ons will voild the warranty...LOL!!!

Sure it's cheaper to get them resurfaced under warranty, but they probably just warp again. The aftermarket rotors look cooler and perform better.

I would reach up, grab his fu(k!ng neck, and tell him he is full of ****! Make such a scene all the customers leave, that would cost him more $ than turning your rotors for you.
There was a Big O that I went to one time that lost alot of customers

If you don't want to be turning your rotors all the time get the Stillen or some type of aftermarket rotors up front.

You can check raceconcepts.net, but that's pointless since the thread in the group deals forum has all the details.
