White smoke, no start, (sporatic), possible ignition module? 1990
Hello,
I am looking for some advice about my 1990 Maxima. It starts sporatically. Doesnt run long, white smoke came out from under the hood near the fuses. Is it possible that it is a relay? How would I know which one is which? We have replaced the starter and checked for spark and fuel. Can anyone point me in the right direction? What else do you need to know? Is there a website with wiring schematics?

more info bout my 1990 start problem
the distributar cap has a hairline fracture. As soon as you put a drop of water on it-it dies. We are now letting it run with the air on to dry it out...(Its very humid here) Does this sound like the problem? Just cap and rotor?
