Pre-Cut Lenses for red/clear tails $25

Ok I have one deal going on where you send us the tails and we do the red/clear mod for you and send them back. Well after a few e-mails and PMs I've noticed a demand for just the pre-cut clear pieces to let you guys put them in yourselves. Well I talked to my friend and we agreed on what I think is a great deal. We will send you the pre-cut pieces ready to place in your taillights for $25 plus shipping.

Here are the pics:

Thanks,
Tom

Here are the ones I did myself (click the pics for a larger one) --

As you can see they are far from perfect, but from more than about 5-10 feet away they look fine. It still bothers me though, I just bought a Dremel and was going to redo them and also the back up lights so they matched perfectly.

I saw the pic you had in the other thread and it looked perfect, no offense to Sprintmax but I did see a set of his tails up close and while they were very good they were not quite perfect.

Tom In the other thread you said you tried different kinds of lens material, was there much difference between the different types? Care to share what kind is the best? How close does what you use match the stock reverse lights? Have you considered doing a four piece set that also included the reverse lights so they will match perfectly?

$25 + shipping does seem a touch steep, once you get it down I would think you could cut several sets in an hour and the cost of the lens is next to nothing. I know you guys want to get paid for your research and time spent getting these perfect to, so I guess the market will have to decide.

Yes there were differences among the different types of lens materials. Some didn't match well with the other taillight while some others didn't allow the turn signal to shine through very clearly during the day. It just took a long time to find the material we used, it is a near perfect color match to stock and the turn signal shines through wonderfully.
We have considered doing a four-piece set but I am really satisfied with the ones I have on now. Unless there is a big demand to do a four-piece set, we most likely will not start making them.
I think that $25+shipping is a very reasonable price if you were truly aware of all the effort that we have put into this. Also all these pieces are cut perfect and we sand down the edges to ensure the best quality possible. And as far as being able to do a lot of these quickly, that is untrue, it takes us a good while to make a high quality set of these; not to mention my friend and I both have jobs and this is just something we are going to be doing in our free-time to try and help all of you guys out.

It's not steep if you can't do them yourself.

For me it's not if I can do them myself, I am sure I could get them pretty good with a couple of hours of trying now that I have a dremel.

The decision comes down to, How much is a couple of hours of my time worth. And - Is the difference between 'pretty good' and 'perfect' that 99.9% of people won't notice worth the money.

Now that I think about it to me the above is worth $25 to me and I will be ordering a set. I hope you plan on taking Paypal

Good question....have u guys tried to make a set for the inner tails to match outer tails. That would be sick if this is even possible.
