anti-lock brakes

I have a 95 maxima SE. I just bought it a few months ago. How do I know if it has anti-lock brakes? I moved to a different city and my insurance sky-rocketed. I'm just trying to find ways to cut that cost, and they give a discount for anti-lock brakes. Thanks.

At the moment, i can only think of three ways to check.

1. Look in the manual (the obvious)
2. See if there is a warning light for it (light the Check Engine Light)
3. Drive 60MPH down the road, and slam on the brakes ( )

Open hood, look in front of the drivers side firewall. If you see a brass colored block with a bunch of hard brake lines running in and out of it, then you have ABS.

You don't have abs but tell your insurance agent that you do anyways they want check and you still get a discount.

How big is the brass block? I have a little 1.5" block with 3 or so lines coming out of it. My car is supposed to have ABS but it has no light on the dash.

How do you know I don't have ABS without looking at my car? I checked today and when I turn the ignition, the ABS light comes on on my dash. Does that mean I do have them?

If the ABS light comes on it means you have ABS.
